Forum user Bitl has released an update to FIREFIGHT RELOADED. The latest version (now in pre-beta) adds several new features to the game. Among the new stuff are voice packs, new weapons, enhanced gore and the first iteration of the Custom Weapon System.  Fans of SMOD should download and take a look, and I will be posting up a video later about the new system and how it looks.

For now click below to view the updates and download the new version and don't forget to leave feedback, bug reports and suggestions on the FFR board.

Forum user Bitl just announced the newest edition in the Smod Series, Smod Firefight Reloaded. What is Firefight Reloaded? FIREFIGHT RELOADED is the sequel to SMOD: FIREFIGHT built on Source SDK 2013. This new mod aims to bring back the old-school style gameplay of older shooters like Quake, while integrating some SMOD-style gameplay themes into it.

December 9 was when the locked alpha was released to those who wanted to try the WIP project. Now  almost a month later later the pre-beta has been announced, with only half a month away I'm sure Firefight will be a huge hit with the community. I know I'll be getting it!

Stay tuned on Bsnooch to see when the mod will be released. The day it's released their will be another News Article with the download link.

Thanks for the update Bitl and here's to another Smod Classic!

In case anybody missed the stream last week, we did a 2 hour sitdown with Pepsifan04, the creator of SMOD: CryLife, to look at the latest build of "CryLife2".  We dug deep into how his mod works, upcoming developments, SMOD Standalone, and a bunch of other topics.

I have now uploaded the videos onto Youtube in 20-30 min segments. Watch the first one below or click the link to shoot through to the whole playlist!

Just in time for 2015, OneManShow has dropped the FINAL version of SMOD Redux.  This is not some crappy spin-off from a random ModDB user. This is the real deal. Watch the video below for instructions on where to download, how to install, and a quick preview of the mod. Enjoy and show OMS some support for kicking out an update for a mod which so many thought was dead.

We sat down with JuanManShow, creator of SMOD Redux and talked about the History of the (English speaking) SMOD Community and how the mod was discovered by Facepunch users, the first SMOD mods, SMOD Multiplayer, Close Contact, the rise and fall of the Tactical forums and everything in between.

A 50 min oral history with some ranting in between.

  • minmi96: To be fair the same thing can be said about other shitbag corporations. Rockstar and EA for example.

  • Zoldat: Google won't give a shit about anything until it draws people's negative attention - only after that they'll do something. The banning of guns videos is following this pattern. It's not because of propaganda, but because of fear of losing profit and money.
    April 08, 2018, 12:12:56 PM
  • Zoldat: All of this was done by YouTube or rather Google only because of fear of drawing negative attention. Attention that could possibly lead to anger from customers and sponsore, resulting in massive lose of money. Google do not want to do that. They're always trying to be polite and friendly so the people could use their services all the time and thus bringing them more money. And Google will do anything so the things will stay that way.

  • Zoldat: To be honest, that was predictable. In fact, YouTube had done stuff like before multiple times. Do you remember how long Elsagate-stuff was(and in fact still is, but not as quite as before though) a thing? And how YouTube started doing something on this shit only after many people and journalists started complaining about this? Or when only after journalists noticed ads from big companies on videos that contained outright illegal on highly controversial content - only after hearing complaints YouTube completely changed monetizations rules, because of which not only people with "shocking" content losed their money, but also a lot of innocent people losed their main source of money for living?

  • FreeKill: Oh look, Demolition Ranch might be taken down because of the new youtube policys. That's a 4.8 million subscriber channel, by the way.

  • minmi96: Has everyone heard about the YouTube Headquarters Shooting?
    April 05, 2018, 12:02:25 PM
  • FreeKill: huh, imagine that.

  • Pepsifan04: so this shit is automated and in progress already
    April 03, 2018, 05:03:00 PM
  • Pepsifan04: To add my 5 cents: one of the videos on "one of my YT channels" got shadowbanned for tutorializing ArmA3 weapon modding (adding scopes, lasers, flashlights and so on))

  • Monkatraz: I can't imagine Google would want to shut down say, Forgotten Weapons. That's why I said "all". However, I seriously doubt they'll actually strictly enforce these rules. They'll probably be applied vaguely whenever media attention is focused on something. I'm not defending them, just trying to be objective.
    March 28, 2018, 03:16:27 AM
  • FreeKill: Dude, they count videogames for those restrictions. They are fucking trying to.
    March 27, 2018, 09:52:40 PM
  • Monkatraz: Yeah, I agree its retarded. But they're not trying to ban all gun videos. I have a feeling they'll either revert these rules or apply them vaguely.
    March 27, 2018, 05:02:33 PM
  • martin.kosecky5: Wtf is wrong with them?
    March 27, 2018, 04:17:27 PM
  • martin.kosecky5: Seriously?
    March 27, 2018, 04:17:20 PM
  • FreeKill: OH, and magazines count as one of the parts that they don't want you showing how to install.
    March 27, 2018, 10:50:09 AM
  • FreeKill: It's much worse than that. They don't want you to show how to disassemble a gun, install parts, or show firearms with magazines that hold more than 30 rounds.
    March 27, 2018, 10:34:49 AM
  • Monkatraz: What? No, they apparently want to ban videos that are attempting to sell guns or manufacture guns.
    March 26, 2018, 02:32:43 PM
  • Counter-Life™: Man, Google is really pushing it with their leftist agenda. So much for "Broadcast Yourself".
    March 25, 2018, 10:33:36 AM
  • xdanielx52: youtube/google wants to ban every single video that contains and/or promotes the usage of guns. It doesn't even matter if it's a real life video, a gameplay video or a movie trailer
