Maybe the gib models could spawn blood particles and decals aswell? That would make it perfect.

Hope this will support infinite number of custom weapons hehe.
THe mod add ...that feature in smod where you can play an entire hl2 mod using smod weapons and stuff...that would be sweet like the possibility of playing BMS using smod3 weaponry.

i think playing BMS with SMOD3 will not work, because BMS has its own bin file. You can only "import" a mod to SMOD if there is no bin file in the original mod.
thats my knowledge at least could be wrong tho ^^

No, you are correct. Black Mesa has its own code base that would be completely incompatible with any other mod. You'd probably be able to load the maps (the mod version at least - the retail version won't be compatible period), but the entities, NPCs, etc unique to Black Mesa won't be present.

That said, the mod is being built on the 2013 branch of Source, so we won't be limited to using pre-orange box maps anymore at least.

I think as far as gore goes you're better off using generic gibs like in SMOD1/2. Model specific will require a lot of time to do, and you won't account for custom models/replacements. To be honest it also looks lame, as if the limbs were carefully cut off. The version you currently have is also missing a lot of particle and sound effects from SMOD.

Overall this looks promising but obviously requires more work. Good luck.

SMOD3 isn't canceled just because I left SMC. If it was canceled I would talk about it on my server and BSNOOCH. I'm taking a small break from working on SMOD3 to work on other projects. THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT SMOD3 IS CANCELED.

If there's a way to make explosion attach fire trails to any wooden ( or any flamable objects ) models caught within blast radius, that'd make a really glory scene.
