It's a teaser, they are basically meant to be short. But I agree, it dosen't really show much.

Well, it's good to see that they basically want to make a modern version of the classic Doom gameplay.

Well, it's good to see that they basically want to make a modern version of the classic Doom gameplay.

Lets hope they don't make it "too modern" like that awful Turok reboot from 2008.

They already tried that. It was canned as it was incredibly generic and had no real direction, to the point that former employees called it "Call of Doom".

There's a small video of pre-rendered cutscenes that turned up a few weeks back from this version of the game.

I LOVE these though.

I agree, but its also important to note that the modern view of the original Doom games is one filtered through speedruns, intimate knowledge of the game engine and levels, and source ports with modern features. All those elements combine to make Doom seem much faster than most would have played it back in the 90's.

I don't like how simple the mapping/modding feature looks, its like Halo's Forge Editor and Spore Galactic Adventures Adventure Creator.
They had to make it simple to use on consoles, so that's why MapTap is simplified.

I see the similarities to Forge, but I don't see any with the adventure creator.
