Hello everyone, along with FIREFIGHT RELOADED and SURVIVOR, I plan on actually making an actual GAME! With its own executable and everything!

And that game is known as:



WHAT IS ZIOCRONICA:

ZIOCRONICA is a (currently in planning phase) Arena FPS that includes an engrossing story, chaotic horde mode, and fast-paced, not Call-Of-Doom multiplayer.

THE STORY (this is only a concept, this may change):
You are a citizen of the land known as ZIOCRONICA, a 3rd place spirits go when they die if they are completely insane and if they don't belong in Heaven or Hell. You are also the spectator of a rebellion taking over ZIOCRONICA for themselves. You must stop these rebels from taking apart your home, and figure you how you got here. Or I'll not really add a story and make it just "KILL THE STUFF" or something.

THE GAMEPLAY (again, this might change:
ZIOCRONICA takes old-school arena FPS gameplay and adds brand-new elements, such as:
- Dual Wielding (planned)
- Enhanced movement (planned)
- Enhanced speed (planned)
- Ghost and Physical Weapons (planned)
- and more!

THE MODES:

Campaign:
- The journey as it plays out.

Swarm:
- A chaotic horde mode similar to FIREFIGHT RELOADED.

Multiplayer:
- Fast-paced Arena FPS multiplayer.

THE ENGINE:
ZIOCRONICA is planned to be on one of the following engines:
Unreal Engine 4
Unity
IdTech 1
IdTech 2
IdTech 3 (ioquake3)
IdTech 4
Source 2
Source 1 (Half-Life 2/Alien Swarm mod)

I also plan on building my own engine based off the Handmade Quake called the ZioEngine, which will be an enhanced version of the original WinQuake engine.


What is planned for right now is a modified version of the Quake 2 (idtech 2.5) Engine.


I hope I will have some stuff to show when I get far enough in the development phase (meaning I pick an engine and figure out gameplay stuff).

Do you need sound effects, and/or male voice clips (young-ish)?

Feel free to send them, I might need them (even though I found a bunch of free royalty free sfx on reddit). The main character or really anyone will not be able to speak, so the story itself doesn't have any dialogue.

If you guys want to make content for the game, go ahead. However I kind of have a pretty minimalist art style I will be using for it.

Just think Mirrors Edge + Black Shades and a little bit of Minimum.

Here's a picture of the character model planned to be used in ZIOCRONICA.



The arms, legs, crotch, and head all can be moved apart from another and posed as such, allowing the animator to create grusome death animations without the programmer needing to add in gibs! (even though gibs might be added anyways)

Aaaaaaand after I saved my blender file with the animations I was working on (even W.I.P running animations), I lost pretty much EVERY SINGLE ANIMATION except my pre-defined poses I made.

Guess I'll have to re-animate everything AGAIN tomarrow.

Ok, so I went ahead and fixed up all my animations and I will continue work on the running animations in a bit. I forgot to press THIS button so it could save the animation:



Some people have asked me if this will be free or paid. I plan on this being a paid game (planned price is $7.99 USD for now, considering on a smaller price like $2.99 USD), however there will be a free demo with 2-4 chapters of the campaign, and pretty much the entire multiplayer/swarm experience with the exception of a few levels. However, I've been also planning for this to be free, so I haven't decided entirely if this will be paid or not.
