Are savegames from the Last version (May 1st) compatible with this version?
-
should work the way it would have in its previous state
granted the save game might contain an entity or two that are no longer present (or new ones it may no recognize/fail at injecting), but aside from the general oddities should be fine if you simply suicide and reload, or start the map over again
i could be absolutely wrong though

I remember outbreak is (or was? don't remember) capped at 36fps. You should change the default to 60/61 for the people who don't know how to set it but have a badass rig.

hmm works for me?

When I open it in firefox, it just shows up as a blank page, and no download prompt opens.
Tried opening it in chrome too, but i get this error:
No data received
Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data.

Right click -> save link as

Right click -> save link as
Tried that, it just downloads a 0-byte file. In chrome, it doesn't work at all.

Oh, and I just beat the mod last night and loved it! The "Do you really think you can beat this game?" with G-man's "We'll see about that" was just awesome. That message made a lot of sense, because after that point, the mod was really damn hard, even on easy. I swear I died 20 times in the space in front of the overwatch nexus. There was one bug that pretty much broke the advancement of the game for me, though. In the overwatch nexus, I did a superjump near the wall of the room with all the laser tripwires accidentally, and it set off the tripwires, and locked me out of that room, and I couldn't progress. All my saves were too recent to undo setting off the tripmines, so I had to restart the map and give myself my weapons back. Other than that, the mod was really great, except when you're stuck in a flight of stairs with a bunch of zombies.... Or in any situation with a lot of zombies really, especially if you get blinded by a scanner. The weapon replacements, custom sounds, particles, and skins were really well done, and I have to say I enjoyed this even more than the normal HL2 campaign.
Oh, and the the train at the end of Highway 17 is IMPOSSIBLE to get past.
I took a quite a few screens along the way, you can look at them if you want here (http://steamcommunity.com/id/phillipjfry6/screenshots)
Oh, and kleiner really doesn't know how to use a shotgun correctly:

thanks for the post. Most of the time people just pop in and say 'great game' or 'this sucks' so its refreshing to get some actual feedback on the mod. I checked out the screenshot archive and I had to chuckle at a few of them.
Sorry about the short responses before but I see now that the download has been corrupted and I am working on getting it fixed.
I can't really say what the future of Outbreak is at this point in time, whether or not bugs will be fixed...Will the campaign ever be finished...All the other questions... My interest in it has waned a bit.
There are however other projects out there still based on this broken, taped together smod engine...People are still working...on this site and others. They may never see the light of day...however, if they do...you will be able to find them here.

All the download links I find gives me 403 or nothing happens.
A mirror would be nice.
Someone?
Edit: hazard777 helped me.
It appears the link in the original post still works, only not for some.

what is going on? the original link redirects to "the escapist" and this link
http://www.putlocker.com/file/4785A4FB78095130 (http://www.putlocker.com/file/4785A4FB78095130)
redirects to some shady free movie website.

Try using Wayback Machine, I was able to Acess GameFront with that easily.

All the links in this thread are dead. Found this nifty guide on the steam forums that includes a link to Outbreak .98c and a way to get it to work with SMOD Standalone:
