I've got an SMOD problem
« on: October 15, 2013, 02:17:45 PM »
For some reason, I can't launch SMOD anymore. The version doesn't matter, I can't launch any.
While launching, I get this error:
"Unable to load d:\steam\steamapps\<username>\source sdk base\bin\filesystem_steam.dll"
I've checked the directory if the file exists. It does.
I've even copied the file to SMOD's bin folder. Doesn't work either.
Last week everything worked fine, what's the problem here?

EDIT: Just to make everything clear, I've already applied the SteamPipe fix. A long time ago. I'm pretty sure this is a problem with Source SDK Base 2006 itself, which doesn't require the SteamPipe fix (it has all of its files available in the .gcf format)

Absolutely magnificently shit.
So what could be the problem? The files ARE there... Maybe they're corrupted or something.

Steampipe update?

I'm pretty sure SteamPipe wouldn't touch Source SDK Base 2006, but I've got a bad feeling that SteamPipe is the cause for all of this. It always was.
I wonder would it be possible to... you know

Try to get the folder that includes the file from an earlier time. look in the temp files.

Sometimes, it helps by just restarting steam. Strangely enough, smod never works on the initial startup for me so I restart steam before I play it.
