[SOLVED]Is it possible to remove ALL entities with mapadd?
« on: April 21, 2014, 07:31:03 PM »
Is there a command of some sort to remove every entity in an existing map? (Not the brush entities of course :))

Or is there an existing method of doing this?

there's an mapadd ent. called "removeentity" in which you specify targetname of ent you want to delete, but you can use wildcards
Code: [Select]
"removeentity" {
"targetname" "jeep_fall_trigger"
}

also you can type "ent_remove_all <classname/targetname>" via console.
I'm not sure about wildcards though.

EDIT:
So basically you can create an mappadd.txt file that loads up on map start, then executes "ent_remove_all"
via "point_servercommand" couple of times with different variables (classname) and finally removes itself...
Theoretically, of course.
