WHAT IS THE LOCKED ALPHA?The LOCKED ALPHA is the current development version of FIREFIGHT RELOADED released to a few people, and updates (except hotfixes) will not be released. However, you can share the link to the ALPHA with as many people as you want, so you don't have to keep the ALPHA all to yourself! In fact, it is recommended to share the mod with as many people as possible to spread the word.WHEN WILL YOU BE RELEASING THE LOCKED ALPHA?The LOCKED ALPHA is planned to be released around the end of November to the middle of December. Please note that THIS IS A BUILD OF THE MOD THAT IS A EARLY WORK-IN-PROGRESS. Things such as the Episode 2 backgrounds, the HUD showing up in map backgrounds, and more bugs should be fixed over the course of FIREFIGHT RELOADED's development. However, this is a version of the mod that is in a almost bug-less playable state, which is a REALLY good thing. Today, I decided to make a documentation on the entities used to make FIREFIGHT RELOADED a enjoyable game experience (as well as some other stuff.). Please note these entities come from the latest version, so these entities might not function like how they are described or not even exist at all in older versions (LOCKED ALPHA).npc_maker_firefight -A modified npc_maker entity that spawns random NPCs depending on the gamemode. This spawner can also spawn rare NPCS if allowed to (can be toggled in the "ADVANCED OPTIONS").npc_maker_xeninvasion - A modified npc_maker entity that spawns "support" NPCs (Bullsquid and Houndeyes) for the Xen Invasion gamemode, and can be only activated on that gamemode.item_crate_firefight -A brand new entity built using item_item_crate, this works about the same as the normal entity, however it can randomize through a list of 10 different items. You can also define a custom model with it. This way, modders who create custom weapons (adding soon) can add their weapons into the game in some way.npc_combine_ace - A version of the Combine Elite with green armor (like the one from SMOD). However, the Combine Ace can leap to places no other soldier can go to, use the secondary fire of their weapons more often than elites, spawn with more health than elites, and can deal DOUBLE the damage of a normal Combine Soldier or Elite.weapon_sniper_rifle - The newest weapon in the player's arsenal, this allows the player to snipe from high places. The player can zoom into the sniper rifle and fire up to 2 shots per magazineDemonstration Video 3 Stuff:Soon, there will be a new video that will show off the new SNIPER RIFLE and more new features that will be released with the upcoming Pre-Beta.Pre-Beta Stuff:Before FIREFIGHT RELOADED finally releases later this year, you all can be able to test out the new features (described in Demonstration Video 3), and more! This release, however, will be public for all players to play and will be constantly updated during the playtesting period. This pre-beta aims to be released in February 2015.
