so does anyone know how to fix:
1. whenever i open included CSS maps with sp objectives i die on spawn

"Reason for sudden death on finishing load the map: The "info_player_start" is missing in the mapname.txt or function SpawnGordon() is not properly called in the mapname.lua. Maybe mapadd is messed up?"

"Reason for sudden death on finishing load the map: The "info_player_start" is missing in the mapname.txt or function SpawnGordon() is not properly called in the mapname.lua. Maybe mapadd is messed up?"

Lua is messed up, that's the reason why standalone was made - to fix lua.
And that's also a reason why most of tac. mapadds don't work outside standalone.

not if you're using launcher, but you can create shortcut to hl2.exe (the one inside standalone folder) with parameter -game mods/<yoursmodhere> -console

Lua is messed up, that's the reason why standalone was made - to fix lua.
And that's also a reason why most of tac. mapadds don't work outside standalone.

I should be able to run tactical then, but it doesn't run. When I try and fix the gamedata it says it's an invalid format. I tried deleting it, but it won't regenerate the file.

CSS SCI FI attempts to avoid a crash straight to desktop from operations done on a bad or missing node list. Unfortunately, this check results in a false positive when the game reads the map's .ain as outdated and attempts to generate a new one.

The above skips loading the mapadd system altogether, which lets the game create a new dummy .ain without interference from the script's node check. It's an annoying error, but it definitely beats a crash to desktop with no error at all.

Alright! Thanks for the help man!

EDIT: Oh dear me, I forget what I'm doing wrong.

Getting an "Extra App ID set to 240, but no SteamAppId." I believe I already tried deleting the gameinfo's contents to let it regenerate, and am trying to use the universal SMOD gameinfo.
