How do I set up reloading animations for BSMOD?
« on: September 02, 2020, 05:46:35 PM »
For example, I have a certain model of weapon, but there is no animation of reloading without twitching the shutter. I edited the animation and got what I needed. Now I have a "full" and "partial" recharge animation, how can I now set it all up correctly for BSMOD?

I'm probably gonna need more information on what you are talking about, cause I really have no idea what the question is in context of your model  :D

So, I have a AKS-74U model, (This is an example) there is only one reload animation for this model, this is the "full" animation. (Meaning, animation with shutter twitch) I edited it, and got the same animation, but without shutter twitching. (only the mag is inserted) Now I need to integrate it\configure it (I have no idea what to call it) for BSMOD, in other words, I need to make sure that when the mag is completely empty, the original animation is played, and when the store is partially empty, my animation should be played. This should work the same way as, say, the AK-47 from BSMOD. I hope you understand what I wrote here :-\

custom weapons have a section where you can specify which animations to play in the weapon script. It goes inside the "WeaponSpec" section.

Code: [Select]
"Activites"
{
// Defiine activity overrides in this section

"Draw" "" //Draw Weapon
"Idle" "" //Weapon Idle
"Idle_IS" "" //Idle while using IronSights
"Primaryattack" "" //PrimaryAttack
"Primaryattack_IS" "" //PrimaryAttack while using IronSights
"Reload" "" //Reload animation
"ReloadEmpty" "" //Reload from empty
"DryFire" "" //DryFire Weapon
}

Not sure if this is in BSMOD 04a, AnOldLady will have to let you know.

Ah so you want the custom weapon to do two sets of reloads, one when mag is empty and one when its not. The ak47 in bsmod doesn't have that feature but the MP5 and Kar98k does :P
Yeah as what BIZ says, you can use the weapon spec commands. It's definitely in BSMOD, and if it isn't working properly , do let me know :)
